At least six girls, including some as young as 13 are facing charges after a violent robbery in Winnipeg’s northeast corner.
Police said three women, ages 16, 19 and 20, were walking near Headmaster Row and Rothesay Street when a larger group of girls attacked them.The group of six assaulted and and robbed the group of three before fleeing, police said.
A short time later, six girls were found nearby. Now, two 13-year-old girls, two 14-year-old girls and two 15-year-old girls are all facing charges of robbery with violence.
The 13 and 14-year-old girls remain in police custody, while the older girls have been released on a promise to appear.
